Dominicus Beach, La Romana

Dominicus Beach is a magnificent beautiful beach and has the distinction of being the first beach in the Caribbean to have the distinctive Blue Flag, it is located in La Romana.

Dominicus Beach is one of the longest white-sand beaches in the Dominican Republic and borders a large resort area in the Bayahíbe-Dominicus area, but remains open to the public.

The truth is that it is a magnificent beach, located near Bayahibe, where you can practice all kinds of water sports and sailing, as well as scuba diving and snorkeling, since there is a coral reef in this area.

The most popular and frequented section is in front of the Iberostar Hacienda Dominicus, next to the lighthouse-shaped bar painted in black and white stripes. Dominicus is the first beach in the Caribbean to receive Blue Flag certification and is popular for its calm, shallow turquoise waters.

It is also a good place to dive since it has a calm coral reef full of marine life right on its shore, the panorama is completed with the different bars and commercial craft booths at the eastern end of the public beach.

Its calm and crystalline turquoise blue waters are bathed by the Caribbean Sea. The sand is white and fine, and, like many other beaches in the country, the coastline is lined with palm and coconut trees.
