Saman Boutique Hotel was born from the dream of a group of people after a trip to the Samaná peninsula. There they discovered a unique place in the world. A place with its charm intact, where time passed slowly, a wild and virgin place where you can experience nature, a paradise surrounded by jungle and beaches.
And they thought that it was the ideal place to build a small hotel where the traveler could relax, have fun and experience the essence of this incredible territory of the Dominican Republic. Taíno Indians, samans, humpback whales or turtles illustrate, along with hundreds of words, the walls of the hotel. Some paintings and poetry, which will introduce our guests, in an almost fictional way, to the history of the hotel and its link with nature and the culture of Samaná.

Exquisite gastronomy ALBIZIA
Come and try a gastronomic offer never seen in Las Terrenas. In our Albizia restaurant you can have a delicious breakfast, have a light lunch and à la carte dinner. Chef Guillem Rofes, trained in the best restaurants in Catalonia, has designed a creative menu with Caribbean influences for Samán Resort that will not leave you indifferent.
For this we work with local suppliers and select local products such as fish and meat and fruits and vegetables from the island.
BREAKFAST
We have breakfasts for all tastes as a “healthy” proposal where you can enjoy a wide variety of native natural fruits, freshly squeezed juices and artisan pastries. If you like stronger breakfasts, you can also order our hot dishes prepared at the moment, such as the typical breakfast of the Dominican Republic, Mangú: made up of mashed banana, grilled salami, cheese and fried eggs.
LUNCH
At lunchtime, you can enjoy our snack menu where you will find typical street food dishes, such as hamburgers or sandwiches, salads and rice dishes prepared with fresh products. A very varied and complete proposal so that our clients can enjoy a meal without having to leave the hotel.
DINER
If you love food and want to live a unique gastronomic experience, you have to dine at our Albizia restaurant. A creative menu in which chef Guillem Rofes reinterprets local recipes with fresh produce from the area.
Starters such as the Dominican picapollo or the shrimp montaditos, fresh fish such as snapper or dorado with tasty sauces, or top quality cuts of meat with very careful presentations, are dishes that we recommend not to miss!

Without hesitation we can say that Calliandra Roof Top is our most special space. We created it as a place to disconnect and have fun. A place to share with friends, with armchairs and cushions, with a pool, perfect for watching the sunsets and disconnecting from the madding crowd in an environment surrounded by nature.
