Platón Ecolodge is the place where you can enjoy a virgin nature that allows you to have fun, such as walks along trails where you can observe the rich flora and fauna of the environment, horseback riding where you will delight yourself with spectacular landscapes, and adventures that will take you to live the emotion of throwing yourself down a water slide, tubing in a mighty and crystal clear river or simply enjoying the starry nights.
We have 4 types of cabins located in different natural environments. The construction and decoration in different types of wood offers us a peculiar smell that carries a pleasant aroma in all the facilities. The aluzinc ceilings allow us to enjoy the sound of the rain creating a relaxing atmosphere.
There is a place in the southwest of the Dominican Republic, where long kilometers of beautiful beaches with an intense blue are complemented, and rivers flow that come from an extensive route through mountains that contain a vegetation of beautiful trees endemic to the region. When we give this description we can only think of the province of Barahona, “La Perla del Sur”.
Things you will do:
- Horseback riding
Come and enjoy this beautiful horseback ride through the mountains and rivers of Plato. The routes take you between the small communities where you will get in touch with the culture of the area. This is an adventure ride in which you will be surrounded by nature enjoying the tranquility and beauty of the place. - Walks
We will take you to climb a waterfall where you can see the source of a river. You will also be able to see part of the vegetation and fauna of the area, come explore and learn all about this beautiful place. - Tubbing
This activity is the ultimate adventure for the whole family. Dare to ride one of our tubes and you can feel the adrenaline while you cross the rapid waters of the Nizao River. This is a combination of action, nature and a unique adventure experience. - Water Slide
Come and enjoy this incredible slide! You just have to take a tube, climb to the top and let yourself be carried away by the water. This slide is approximately 80 meters long and ends in a beautiful natural pool.
Around Platón Ecolodge there are different beaches, into which rivers flow from the mountains and make a perfect combination for different tastes: those who like surfing or those who prefer a quiet bath on the beach or in the river.
